My Year of Faith Article

Here's a link to an article that I published for the diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend's "Year of Faith" website.

  1. Thats a great pic of you. You look very credible. LOL ;)

  2. I think that I mostly agree. My criticism is perhaps parenthetical. Regardless of whether your are heterosexual or homosexual, I don't think that the Church objects to the declaration that our innermost beings are objectively disordered. If we admit the wounded condition of the human heart (good in itself), then there must be something disordered about our inmost being. I don't think that admitting this would require you to change anything else that you've said. We could still rejoice in the attraction to "genuine love and genuine beauty" manifested in either sex. There would still be a necessary "self-excavation" and purification from "self-indulgence and idolatry". All of this would still be true, as I see it.
